Chapter 6: The Search for Fractals- How Patterns in Storytelling Point Toward Deeper Meaning in Day-to-day Being
This is a Google Map - view of my blacksmith shop in Las Cruces. Different times are captured by Google.
2014 image of the blacksmith shop in existence; horse trailer looks recently painted
2008 view without the blacksmith shop yet in existence
2014 view with shop in existence; there is a horse trailer (with rusty top) to right of the shop; It was painted in October, so this photo is months earlier. Two cars are parked near the barn, and that means a horse lesson is about to start.
Figure 4 - Google Satellite veiws of Boje's Blacksmith shop
Above is a temporal view of my blacksmith shop using Google maps. The top picture is side view of the shop. IN middle picture the balcksmith shop is not yet built. In the bottom picture is satellite view (the smaller white squre is the blacksmith shop, bigger squre is the barn, and the house is below them both; the black items are the photovoltaic patterns; the lines from the barn, are the turn out fenced areas for our horses).
Figure 5 - Zoom out view of Blacksmith Shop
Above is zooming way out until you can make out the Earth, and the red sign represents my blacksmith shop in New Mexico. The differences in the progress of buildings and trailor-painting at 4700 Dunn Drive vanishes at this magnification.
The fractal images are associated with both physical space and temporal changes to the buildings and vehicles at 4700 Dunn Drive. Position shifts in-space and developments in-time are fractal scales of change.
